(More customer reviews)I purchased this to use with my Christmas gift, a LG BluRay DVD player, to download videos from NetFlix, YouTube and CinemaNow directly to my TV via my internet network. Since my network router is in another room I would have had to use a 100 foot cable in order to connect directly to my router and down a hallway to my DVD player in the living room. I couldn't put a hole in the wall to thread a cable through because I live in an apartment. The powerline seemed like the ideal solution. I bought it from AMAZON via Tiger Direct(I didn't know AMAZON sold it direct, I could have saved the shipping charge if I had known).
Anyway, when it arrived, it took all of about 10 minutes to plug one adapter into the outlet near my router, connect to the router with the supplied cord; then plug the other adapter into a outlet near my TV/DVD player and connect to the player with the supplied cord; turn on the TV and DVD player and presto, IT WORKED!
